When your windshield gets chipped, there are steps you need to take right away to keep it from spreading and being forced to replace the windshield, according to the video. Mobile rock chip repairs make it easy to fix this on your own. Purchase a cheap window repair kit for only a few dollars once you notice the crack, or have one available.
Once you open the kit, make sure you have all the parts you need first to get started.
Use the push pin in the kit to remove excess glass and grain from the chip. Take a clean rag and wipe the chip, making sure it is rid of the debris. Stick the adhesive to the glass around the chipped area. Stick the bowl to the adhesive and line up the tabs. Open up the resin and starting filling the bowl with it until it reaches the top.
At this point, you’ll want to use the syringe to put pressure and pull on the resin. and apply pressure to the glass. This next process will take about 15 minutes before you push the syringe back down and release it. Once this is done, you can use any leftover resin to fill in any crack, and then clean up your mess. Your windshield chip wont’ spread and you’ll be good until the next rock pops up and hits the windshield.
